A Natural Woman From Aretha Franklin Bring Barrack Obama To Tears - Aretha Franklin has brought American President Barack Obama to tears, with her performance of her 1967 hit 'You Make Me Feel like a Natural Woman', at the 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors. Every year, the Kennedy Center Honours rolls out their latest inductees to be feted in full formals in front of the president and the First Lady. On this year’s ceremony, held on Dec. 6, was aired last night on CBS. It was not on my radar this year, but once this performance hit my Facebook feed, it slammed me in the nose and knocked me out of my chair.
The Queen of Soul, we knew her Aretha Franklin, brings an epic level of soul in this jaw-dropper, leaving honouree Carole King in fits and the audience on their feet with wet cheeks. Grab the earbuds or headphones and crank it to safe but amplified levels for best results.
The awards were broadcast on Tuesday night, to celebrate a number of people including composer and singer-songwriter Carole King, (the co-writer of You Make Me Feel like a Natural Woman) who enjoyed an evening of heartfelt tributes.
